Left at 09:20 and immediately locked down Cholmondeston Lock and passed the marina, one of two big marinas on this section which generates quite a lot of boat movements. This section to Middlewhich is typical Chesire countryside with lots of cattle and farms with some very good views over the rolling hills from the embankements. In Middlewhich we stopped for water and an ice cream then got a paper and milk at the little shop through the lock. We are now on the Trent and Mersey canal and on this section you pass throgh areas where industry has closed and been demolished. We pushed on through the next 4 locks even though the crew where tired and aching as we wanted to clear the built up areas. We moored before Bridge 157 just passed where I moored last year cloear of the trees so we can get tele (Sky).
